Ryanair Announces New Flight Path from Birmingham to Tirana

Ryanair is set to launch a new service from Birmingham to Tirana, offering flights starting in April 2026.

Ryanair has announced a new route from Birmingham to Tirana for Summer 2026. From April 2026, the low-cost airline will offer flights from Birmingham Airport on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Tirana, the vibrant capital of Albania, boasts a rich tapestry of history, culture, and modern flair. The city is famous for its colorful buildings, striking street art, and friendly atmosphere. Key tourist spots include Skanderbeg Square, the Et’hem Bey Mosque, and the engaging Bunk’Art museums, providing a glimpse into Albania’s past. Travelers can also enjoy the beautiful Adriatic coastline, featuring stunning sandy beaches and delightful seaside towns.

This new route is part of Ryanair’s investment of €300 million in a new three-aircraft base at Tirana, expected to create over 3,000 jobs and facilitate 10 new European routes from the Albanian capital. Plans for further expansion at this base are anticipated over the next five years.

Bookings for Ryanair’s Summer 2026 flights from Birmingham to Tirana are available now at ryanair.com.

Commenting on this new route, Al Titterington, Terminal Operations Director at Birmingham Airport stated: “We’re delighted that Ryanair is expanding its presence at Birmingham Airport next summer with the scheduled service to Tirana, a vibrant city renowned for its rich culture and varied history. This new route will provide our customers with the chance to discover the sights of the Albanian capital and the stunning nearby Adriatic coast, whilst also supporting our connectivity to southeast Europe.”
