RMS Pay Launches in North America to Transform Payment Processes

RMS, the hospitality platform catering to hotels, serviced apartments, vacation rentals, and outdoor accommodations, has officially introduced RMS Pay in the United States and Canada. Previously operating in Australia and Europe, RMS Pay has shown significant success for hospitality operators by enhancing payment security and minimizing risks. More than half of RMS Pay clients reported a decrease in no-shows and chargebacks, thanks to features like pre-authorization, with a striking 98.3% experiencing fewer than one chargeback monthly.

This solution allows operators to manage property operations and payments through one streamlined provider, decreasing system complexity and allowing a single support team. RMS’s customers note a time savings of over five hours per week on payment and reconciliation processes, enabling staff to focus more on guests.

Seamlessly integrated with the RMS property management system, RMS Pay automates the payment process from pre-arrival to check-out while maintaining a cohesive guest experience. The platform works across various hospitality settings, improving operations for boutique hotels, campgrounds, RV parks, and larger enterprises by replacing outdated methods with a comprehensive, cloud-based solution.

As labor shortages and rising costs persist across North America, RMS Pay facilitates leaner operations by automating core financial tasks such as payment requests, receipts, and reporting. Tools like automated payment schedules and Pay by Link, which lets operators send secure payment links via SMS or email, aim to decrease no-shows and enhance cash flow predictability.

A Commitment to Integration

Adam Seskis, CEO at RMS stated:

“RMS Pay resolves one of the most enduring challenges in hospitality: disjointed payment systems that diminish profitability.”
He further emphasized that accommodation providers, especially independent owner-operators, are often at a disadvantage regarding fully integrated payments tailored for their needs.

RMS Pay, which is PCI DSS-certified and uses tokenized data for guest payment protection, offers a comprehensive view of transactional insights without the complications of managing multiple systems.

To expand its payment services, RMS has appointed James MacRae as the new Head of Payments. With a robust background from leadership roles at Visa, Sportsbet, and ANZ, where he focused on payment enablement and fintech innovation, MacRae is set to strengthen RMS’s payment capabilities, helping to provide secure and innovative solutions for the hospitality sector.
