Lufthansa’s New Connection from Riyadh to Munich
With a new route starting on October 27, 2025, Lufthansa aims to increase its capacity in Saudi Arabia by approximately 50 percent. This flight, previously operational until 2017, will provide travelers with three weekly nonstop services, significantly enhancing connectivity for passengers flying from Riyadh to Munich.
The new service will operate every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, departing Riyadh at 6:25 a.m. and arriving in Munich at 10:25 a.m. local time. This route will work in tandem with existing daily flights to Frankfurt, offering travelers broader scheduling options.
Additionally, customers will be able to travel on state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 planes, providing a choice of Business, Premium Economy, and Economy classes, with prices starting at 1,495 SAR for return trips in Economy Class.
Lufthansa boasts a legacy in Saudi Arabia, operating in the region for over 65 years, and plans to cater to increased demand linked to significant upcoming events such as the World Expo 2030 and the FIFA Men’s World Cup in 2034.
“Munich is one of the most popular destinations in Western Europe for many of our customers. The airport itself is a relaxing, convenient, and beautiful gateway,” said Sadiq Mohamed, General Manager Sales Saudi Arabia at Lufthansa Group Airlines.
Overall, this new connection is expected to facilitate travel for approximately 300 passengers per flight, enhancing Lufthansa’s offerings in the Middle East.
