With a forecasted growth in the global meetings and events industry expected to exceed USD 2.3 trillion by 2032, the demand for smart technology solutions is swiftly increasing. Companies such as Sabre Hospitality, Expedia TAAP, and Cvent have underscored the need for human insights in developing more effective platforms.

A report by Tourism Economics revealed that 60% of UAE travelers trust AI to plan all aspects of their trips, as opposed to 48% worldwide, indicating a notable trend towards technology in travel. AI application in trip planning is becoming more prominent, with nearly 60% of travelers utilizing it for their travel arrangements.

During ATM 2025, industry experts from technology, hospitality, and events sectors convened to discuss the implications of AI on personal interactions in travel. Amy Read from Sabre Hospitality emphasized that while technology is evolving, human connection remains fundamental in hospitality, aiming to optimize interactions rather than replace them.
