Major Achievement for Cebu Pacific

Cebu Pacific has marked an important milestone by operating a 100-strong fleet with the recent addition of its latest aircraft, an Airbus A330neo.

Xander Lao, the airline’s President and Chief Commercial Officer, expressed enthusiasm, stating, “Reaching 100 aircraft is more than a milestone: it reflects our unwavering commitment to make air travel accessible to more Filipinos. With a larger fleet, we’re able to operate more efficiently, enhance connectivity across the country and the region, and pass on the benefits of scale through even lower fares.”

This achievement coincides with continued growth in passenger numbers; as of June 2025, the airline served 2.2 million passengers, which is a 7.9% increase compared to last year. From January to June, it transported 13.9 million passengers, marking a 21% increase over the same period in 2024.

New Airbus Model

The A330neo is the 12th of its type to join the fleet, making Cebu Pacific the largest operator of A330neo in the Asia-Pacific. The aircraft, capable of seating 459 people, was delivered to Manila from Airbus’ Toulouse facility in France, and it represents the second of four A330neos expected in 2025.

Currently, the airline anticipates receiving seven additional aircraft before the year concludes. This new A330neo offers Cebu Pacific flexibility for both regional and long-haul routes, catering to high-demand sectors. Additionally, it boasts a reduced fuel consumption rate of up to 25% relative to previous models, leading to decreased carbon emissions.
