
The official opening of ME Marbella, the flagship location of Meliá Hotels International, was celebrated with an exclusive evening that brought together notable personalities from the arts, sports, and social sectors. Located in Puerto Banús, this establishment has been upgraded from four to five stars and adds 200 luxurious rooms to the city’s offerings, solidifying its status as a premier destination. The celebration took place in the iconic Oasis, the hotel’s indoor beach club, transformed into a vibrant mix of lights, water, and music accentuating the architecture and spirit of this new venue.
Mayor Ángeles Muñoz underscored the hotel sector’s investment of 20 million euros to enhance the city’s excellence. It also featured other institutional figures such as Málaga Regional Government delegate Patricia Navarro, Provincial Council President Francisco Salado, and many others.
Muñoz highlighted that “this new establishment incorporates 200 rooms, over 24 suites, and a penthouse of over 2,000 square meters with all kinds of exclusive services, reflecting the essence of Marbella’s brand.” She recalled Meliá’s long-standing commitment to the city, dating back 60 years with the Don Pepe hotel.
The inauguration attracted well-known individuals from social circles, cinema, sports, and fashion, including Nicole Kimpel, Brigitte Nelsen, Topacio Fresh, José Manuel Calderón, Gala González, Paula Ordovás, Amaury Nolasco, and Águeda López, all of whom contributed to making ME Marbella one of the most exclusive summer destinations on the Costa del Sol.
