Philippine Airlines Launches New Route Between Manila and Da Nang

Philippine Airlines has initiated direct flights between Manila and Da Nang, enhancing connectivity and tourism between the two cities.

Philippine Airlines (PAL) has officially launched its thrice-weekly service connecting Manila with Da Nang, Vietnam starting July 1st.

Flight Schedule

  • PR 585 Manila-Da Nang: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 11:10 AM, arriving in Da Nang at 12:45 PM.
  • PR 586 Da Nang-Manila: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 1:35 PM, reaching Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 5:10 PM.

The airline plans to introduce additional flights by November.

Significance of the Route

Lai Thai Binh, the Vietnamese ambassador to the Philippines, remarked: “This flight is more than a connection between two cities. It’s a bridge between our people, cultures, and shared dreams.”

This launch coincides with the tenth anniversary of the strategic partnership between the Philippines and Vietnam, as 2026 approaches the 50th year of diplomatic relations.

Shahlimar Hofer Tamano highlighted the growing tourism demand and the significance of this new route for both nations.

Expansion of Services

Richard Nuttall, PAL president, stated: “We now fly three routes into Vietnam, reflecting the strong bond between the Filipino and Vietnamese people.” Currently, PAL operates 24 weekly nonstop flights to major Vietnamese cities, including three from Cebu to Ho Chi Minh City, using Airbus A321 aircraft that hold up to 199 passengers.
