The Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA) revealed new insights on January 27, 2025, regarding their accreditation scheme.
Key Highlights:
- The ATIA persistently enforces the highest accreditation standards for travel businesses, underscoring their prestigious status within the industry.
- Statistics indicate that 25% of applicants are denied accreditation, reflecting the program’s rigorous requirements.
New Developments at Year-End 2024
Five new businesses were acknowledged as part of the ATIA Accreditation community, namely:
- Helloworld Travel Ascot Vale
- Helloworld Travel Highton
- Let’s Travel Jindabyne
- Snowsea Cruises
- Travellers Lounge
However, one business had its accreditation revoked, and three chose to withdraw from the program voluntarily.
Additionally, 19 businesses are now part of a monitoring agreement requiring quarterly financial and operational reports.
