TAP Launches New Connection between Faro and Funchal

TAP Air Portugal introduces a new route linking Faro to Funchal, enhancing travel options between the Algarve and Madeira.

TAP Air Portugal has launched a new domestic route connecting Faro directly to Funchal, with two flights scheduled weekly. This service commenced on June 2 and will remain operational until September 11, facilitating travel between the Algarve and Madeira, two of Portugal’s popular tourist destinations.

Flight Schedule

  • Mondays: Depart from Funchal at 20:50, return from Faro at 23:15.
  • Thursdays: Depart from Funchal at 06:10, return from Faro at 08:35.

This new route utilizes Embraer 190 aircraft, each accommodating 106 passengers. A total of 30 flights are planned, offering 3,180 seats available each way.

The introduction of this route is part of TAP’s initiative to enhance mobility within Portugal, aiming to provide travelers with more convenience and to promote domestic tourism. By establishing a direct air link between the Algarve and Madeira, TAP contributes to the diversity of travel options and supports regional economic growth.
