Anguilla Showcases Its Tourism Offerings at CHTA Marketplace

A delegation from Anguilla, led by Minister Cardigan Connor, participated in the Caribbean Tourism Marketplace, showcasing the island's commitment to the tourism sector.

A delegation representing Anguilla’s tourism sector, led by Hon. Cardigan Connor, Minister of Health, Sports, and Tourism, participated in the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association’s (CHTA) Caribbean Travel Marketplace held in St. John’s, Antigua. The delegation included Jameel Rochester, Director of Tourism, Chantelle Richardson, Deputy Director of Tourism, and Sean Richard, Board Director of the Anguilla Tourist Board (ATB).

Additionally, the delegation featured the Vice President of the Anguilla Hotel & Tourism Association Sandra Richardson, CEO Cherecia Lewis, and hoteliers Will Fleming, Rolf Masshardt, and Lockhart Hughes.

During the event, Minister Connor had a fruitful meeting with Prime Minister Gaston Browne of Antigua and Barbuda, discussing pivotal tourism topics. The Caribbean Marketplace, a premier tourism marketing event, was hosted in Antigua for the first time, featuring a tradeshow showcasing regional tourism offerings.

Statistics from the event: Nearly 800 delegates attended, representing 173 suppliers across 25 Caribbean locations alongside buyer companies from 16 international markets,

Minister Connor emphasized the commitment to maintaining Anguilla’s status as a premier and sustainable destination, detailing the island’s performance and future tourism pathway. “We remain passionate and dedicated to enhancing Anguilla’s tourism experiences,” the minister stated.
