Loganair Marks Major Passenger Milestone at Inverness Airport

Loganair celebrates welcoming its 650,000th passenger, highlighting its role in connecting the Highlands and Islands with the rest of the UK.

Loganair, the UK’s regional airline, has reached a significant milestone at Inverness Airport, welcoming its 650,000th customer as part of its commitment to connect the Highlands and Islands with the UK. This achievement underscores Loganair’s dedication to providing essential air services to and from Inverness, crucial for both local communities and regional economic development.

To commemorate the occasion, the airline presented free flight vouchers to Alasdair Mackay, a loyal customer from Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, who frequently travels with Loganair for offshore work. He expressed his preference for flying over ferry and bus options, acknowledging the convenience provided by the airline.

“Flying is much more efficient,” he said. “I may use the vouchers for my next work trip, but a holiday could be on the cards too!”

Luke Lovegrove, Loganair’s Chief Commercial Officer, celebrated the milestone, highlighting its significance for the community. He noted Alasdair as an example of many customers relying on their services for vital connections.

Loganair operates routes from Inverness to various UK destinations, including Stornoway and Manchester, and newly opened services via its Southampton hub. Graeme Bell, Inverness Airport’s General Manager, congratulated Loganair on this achievement, looking forward to continued collaboration.

Earlier this year, Loganair was ranked second in the Which? survey of short-haul airlines, achieving a customer satisfaction score of 72%. Its services include a standard luggage allowance of 21kg and convenient transfers across the UK.
