Langham Hospitality Group (LHG) has launched a global celebration for the 160th anniversary of The Langham Hotels and Resorts, honoring the opening date of their first hotel, The Langham, London, on June 10.
Established in 1865, The Langham is regarded as Europe’s first Grand Hotel, forever changing the hospitality landscape with the introduction of luxury elements such as electric lights and air conditioning.
“The 160th anniversary of The Langham is not just a milestone for our namesake, but for the luxury hospitality world at large,” said Langham Hospitality Group CEO Bob van den Oord. “In recognition, we’ve created some truly extravagant guest offerings across the brand’s global portfolio.”
