Avianca is making steady progress in improving accessibility with initiatives such as braille signage on over 60 of its A320 aircraft, along with comprehensive training for more than 5,500 employees. The airline recently launched its special assistance website and created a service guide for operational teams.
Key Highlights:
- Braille Row Markers: More than 60 aircraft are equipped with clearer row markers featuring braille and enhanced contrast.
- Avianca Accessible Program: Aims to break down barriers in the travel experience and ensure inclusivity from the planning stage to the end of the journey.
- Collaborative Efforts: The airline has completed over 50 high-impact actions in partnership with its External Accessibility Committee.

- SERVIR Platform: Implements message translation into sign language in collaboration with Fenascol.
- Service Guide: Offers essential tips and tools for agents to assist passengers with disabilities.
- Accessibility Website: Provides detailed information catering to various disabilities.
- Ramps: Constructed in Cartagena and Valledupar, aiding over 1,200 travelers.
