Riyadh Air has achieved a key milestone by obtaining a license for its advanced flight simulator, aimed at improving pilot training ahead of its commercial launch.

Riyadh Air has been granted an operational certificate by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) for its first advanced Boeing 787-9 RX7000 full flight simulator, enhancing its aim to create a world-class pilot training system. This certification comes as a significant step before launching commercial operations in 2025.

The simulator is key to Riyadh Air’s expanding training resources, improving pilot preparedness and safety standards. It offers a realistic training experience, allowing pilots to perfect their skills and performance.

The airline intends to leverage innovation for safer, more efficient operations, aiming for a 330 million passenger capacity and 4.5 million tons of air cargo by 2030, with plans to serve 250 destinations.
