Etihad Airways and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Sign MoC
Etihad Airways formally signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) at the ongoing Arabian Travel Market (ATM). This cooperative agreement aims to strengthen the relationship between Thailand and the United Arab Emirates’ national airline.
The agreement is expected to enhance tourism to Thailand through Etihad’s extensive global network. In line with Etihad’s mission to deliver extraordinary travel experiences, both organizations will collaborate on promoting high-quality travel experiences in Thailand.
Expanding Market Reach
In 2025, Etihad plans to introduce two new destinations in Thailand as part of its expansion strategy. Flights to Krabi and Chiang Mai are set to commence in October and November, further solidifying the airline’s presence alongside its existing routes to Bangkok and Phuket. Etihad’s global network will support ease of travel for tourists to various holiday destinations in Thailand.
Etihad CEO Antonoaldo Neves highlighted the importance of Thailand as a significant market for the airline, citing this cooperation as a means to drive leisure travel and reinforcing their commitment to enhance travel experiences.
TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool indicated that this partnership is a notable step toward elevating Thailand as a preferred global destination, confident in the collaboration’s potential to attract more travelers interested in Thailand’s rich culture and natural beauty.
