Etihad Airways Unveils Its Game-Changing Airbus A321LR This August

Etihad Airways is set to introduce its new Airbus A321LR, aiming to enhance the flying experience with luxury features typically associated with larger aircraft.

Etihad Airways is setting a new standard for single-aisle flying with the debut of its all-new Airbus A321LR, delivering wide-body comfort on short and medium-haul routes. The A321LR signifies a leap forward in guest experience and innovation, embodying Etihad’s signature luxury and providing a true First-class experience in a narrowbody setting.

“The A321LR is an amazing aircraft which proves our commitment to luxury, customer experience, and connectivity,” said Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways.

“With our new First Suites, 14 lie-flat Business seats with direct-aisle access, and upgraded Economy, we’ve taken the luxury experience which we are famed for on our widebody fleet and adapted it to offer guests the same experience in a single-aisle aircraft – all while keeping them seamlessly connected with superfast, streaming Wi-Fi throughout the journey.”

The new First Suite features a private, enclosed space with a sliding door, lie-flat bed, elevated dining, and bespoke design touches, providing an intimate experience for guests. Additionally, the Business cabin boasts widebody-style seats and a herringbone layout with direct aisle access. In Economy, the aircraft features among the widest seats in the industry, ensuring comfort with access to modern entertainment facilities.

Etihad’s aircraft are equipped with Viasat’s advanced multi-orbit ready system, providing speeds up to 1 Gbps and available from gate-to-gate where permitted.

The A321LR is expected to enter service on August 1, 2025, with ten aircraft joining the fleet this year, flying to numerous global destinations, thereby playing a crucial role in enhancing Abu Dhabi’s tourism and economic development.
