Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) organized the Aviation Experience Day 2025 for about 40 secondary school students from disadvantaged families in Hong Kong. This event was part of the Strive and Rise Programme Alumni Club. The tour marked the airline’s first initiative aimed specifically at the Strive and Rise initiative, led by Mr. Chan Kwok-ki, Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong SAR Government.

Aviation Experience Day

The students visited GBA’s training facilities at Donghai Airlines headquarters in Shenzhen, receiving a thorough introduction to the airline’s operations. The activities were designed to be engaging and informative, covering various aspects of day-to-day airline functions, inflight services, simulator training, and safety procedures.

Interactive Sessions

Liza Ng, the CEO of GBA, expressed her enthusiasm about collaborating with the Chief Secretary’s Office and the Social Welfare Department on this significant initiative. “Young people represent the future of our society, and we all play a role in their overall development.”

Hands-On Experience

“GBA, being the most recent airline in Hong Kong, is rapidly gaining popularity and aims to enhance awareness of the aviation industry among students. It’s encouraging to see some students considering a future in aviation,” added Ms. Ng.
