The Tourism Authority of Thailand hosts a successful event showcasing the country's health and wellness offerings to international buyers.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) successfully hosted the Amazing Thailand Health & Wellness Trade Meet 2025, welcoming 100 international buyers to Bangkok for a one-day showcase of the country’s health and wellness offerings.

Thailand for wellness
Chiravadee Khunsub, Deputy Governor for International Marketing of Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Africa, stated: “This annual trade event is part of our broader Amazing Thailand Health & Wellness Journey initiative to position Thailand as a quality destination for health and wellness travel. It also supports the Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025, reinforcing our focus on high-value, experience-led tourism across sectors like wellness, medical care, and active lifestyles.”

Held at The Ritz-Carlton Bangkok, the event fostered collaboration, business matching, and exchange of ideas among global buyers and over 50 Thai businesses. Buyers came from key markets—Europe, ASEAN, South Asia, the South Pacific, East Asia, the Americas, the Middle East, and Africa—highlighting a global interest in Thailand’s wellness sector.

The program included a sector update from TAT and a Wellness Talk themed ‘Wellness Hub Thailand’ led by Dr. Tanupol Virunhagarun, CEO of BDMS Wellness Clinic. In his address, Dr. Tanupol emphasized Thailand’s potential to emerge as a global wellness hub supported by government initiatives, robust healthcare infrastructure, and a growing global demand for preventive health strategies.

Participants also took part in traditional Thai wellness activities such as creating personalized inhalers and healthy snacks, while learning self-care rooted in Thai elemental theory. In the afternoon, 50 Thai businesses showcased a variety of services ranging from integrative medicine to holistic retreats.

TAT arranged a familiarisation trip for buyers before the main event, along with post-event experiences to give international guests a taste of Thai wellness culture. The initiatives aim to attract high-value wellness tourists contributing significantly to Thailand’s evolving tourism landscape.
