The 13th Macao International Travel Expo (MITE) commenced today, April 25, at The Venetian Macau. This significant event brings together various tourism boards and travel professionals from around the globe.
Attendance
This year, there has been a 50% increase in attendance compared to last year, with 755 travel and tourism enterprises participating from over 70 countries. Additionally, around 500 global travel buyers have attended, covering various markets.
Key Remarks
In her opening speech, Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, director of the Macao Government Tourism Office, stated that MITE is essential for promoting progress related to the 14th Five-Year Plan by the Chinese government. She expressed how the expo highlights Macao’s strengths and fosters cooperation among tourism professionals worldwide.
