Alaska Airlines is expanding its operations in San Diego with three new nonstop destinations and a 30% increase in flight frequency.
New Nonstop Routes
The airline will begin offering year-round service to:
- Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD)
- Denver International Airport (DEN)
- Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (PHX)
The flights to Phoenix start on August 20, 2025, while service to Chicago and Denver will commence by October 4, 2025.
Once the expansion is finalized, Alaska Airlines will have six daily nonstop flights to Las Vegas, Sacramento, and San Jose, along with four daily nonstop flights to Salt Lake City.
“We’re proud to already serve San Diego and the surrounding region with the most nonstop destinations from San Diego,” said Ben Minicucci, CEO of Alaska Airlines. “These exciting new additions will enhance our ability to connect San Diegans to their desired destinations with superior service.”
To celebrate the expansion, Alaska is offering discounts for new Mileage Plan loyalty members: $50 off for members in California and Hawaii, and $25 off for those in other states, for bookings made within specific timeframes.
