The Meetings Show Asia Pacific Achieves a Strong Comeback in Singapore
The Meetings Show Asia Pacific made a successful return to Singapore in 2025, solidifying its reputation as a key anchor event for the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) sector within Asia and the Pacific.
Building on the momentum from its debut last year, this vibrant second edition brought together MICE professionals from within and around the region on April 16th and 17th at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre.
The show featured nearly 300 exhibitors, a solid Hosted Buyer Programme, and various curated knowledge sessions offering valuable industry insights.
Additionally, this event ran concurrently with the first-ever Business Travel Show Asia Pacific, attracting corporate travel professionals, senior buyers, and leading suppliers for an insightful conference.
In total, the dual conventions welcomed 1,773 attendees from over 72 countries, including 347 hosted buyers, marking a growth of approximately 35% compared to last year’s inaugural edition, highlighting broader participation, richer programming, and deeper regional involvement.
During the opening of the dual event, Northstar Travel Group CEO Jason Young remarked: “For more than 80 years, our brands have been the trusted voice of the travel and tourism industry. Our market-leading events and media products are relied upon by the most important professional audiences that drive the US$2 trillion travel market across the MICE, corporate and leisure segments. We truly embrace our role as the champion of travel.”
Ong Huey Hong, Assistant Chief Executive of the Industry Development Group and Chief Sustainability Officer of the Singapore Tourism Board, expressed her enthusiasm for the event as well, stating: “It is with great pleasure and excitement that we get to witness not only the growth of the second edition of The Meetings Show Asia Pacific but also the inaugural launch of BTS APAC in Singapore. The co-location of the two events will form an even stronger gateway to quality connections and insightful sessions tailored to the meetings and corporate travel sectors.”
Looking forward, Singapore aims to triple its MICE tourism receipts by 2040 despite current uncertainties in the global economy.
