All Nippon Airways and Singapore Airlines Collaborate on Joint Fare Initiatives
The partnership between ANA and SIA enhances travel choices with new fare products for flights between Japan and Singapore.
All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Singapore Airlines (SIA) have unveiled plans to start revenue-sharing flights between Singapore and Japan starting this September.
The new fare products will be available for purchase next month, significantly strengthening their commercial alliance. By collaborating, ANA and SIA aim to provide customers with enhanced value by offering a broader range of fare types and better synchronization of flight schedules between the two countries, along with improved connectivity through their Star Alliance membership.
SIA’s CEO, Goh Choon Phong, commented on the alliance: “This strategic partnership between Singapore Airlines and All Nippon Airways brings together two of Asia’s pre-eminent carriers. With our extensive network coverage and industry-leading products, we can leverage our combined strengths to enhance our offerings to customers.”
Goh further remarked that this initiative is just the beginning, as both airlines plan to align their frequent flyer programs and add more markets to their joint venture.
He stated: “We can provide greater value, improved connectivity, and an exceptional experience for customers traveling between Singapore and Japan, and beyond.”
ANA’s CEO, Shinichi Inoue, believes this initiative is more than simply an alliance; it represents ANA’s aim to revolutionize customer experiences.
Inoue expressed: “Just as ANA is committed to exceeding expectations and maintaining the highest standards, so too is Singapore Airlines. This partnership will exemplify that commitment and set a new service benchmark in air travel.”
Both airlines are working to enhance reciprocal advantages for their frequent flyer programs, providing opportunities to earn miles across an extended range of booking classes as they align corporate offerings to cater to business travelers.
Pending regulatory approval, they also plan to extend this joint agreement to include key markets such as Australia, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia, building on their previous agreements signed in January 2020 that have already expanded their existing codeshare arrangement.
