
Seatrade Cruise Global’s 40th Anniversary Celebrated in Miami
The Seatrade Cruise Global event marked the conclusion of its 40th anniversary at the Miami Beach Convention Center from April 7 to 10, 2025. This milestone event attracted over 11,500 attendees from 128 countries, including representatives from more than 75 global cruise lines.
This year’s event celebrated 40 years of innovation, collaboration, and growth within the cruise industry.
The World Comes to Miami
Miami served as the backdrop for this landmark event, unifying industry leaders and over 600 exhibitors to discuss the future of cruising, making it one of the most attended events to date. Chiara Giorgi remarked:
“This year’s Seatrade Cruise Global has been a remarkable celebration of our industry’s journey over the past 40 years and was our most inspiring edition yet. The enthusiasm and engagement of our attendees have been truly inspiring.”
Highlights from a Successful Show
The event offered a comprehensive conference program themed “Milestones”, encouraging the cruise community to reflect on the industry’s evolution while looking forward to future advancements. It included 87 conference sessions with 290 expert speakers discussing trends, opportunities, and challenges affecting the future of cruise travel.
A significant session titled The State of the Global Cruise Industry, sponsored by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, attracted over 2,500 delegates, covering the cruise industry’s biggest opportunities and challenges as it moves forward.
A New Generation Rises
The initiative Tomorrow’s Talent Today was also launched, aimed at fostering the next generation of talent in the cruise industry. This involved students, educators, and professionals, spotlighting those under 40 who have made significant contributions to their sectors through the 20 Under 40 Programme.
