Frontier Airlines is looking to draw Southwest Airlines fans to their service with a special offer for Southwest’s A-Tier elite members, allowing them to obtain Frontier Miles Elite Gold status for a fee of $40.

The offer is open to all levels of Rapid Rewards Elite members. By paying the fee, members gain immediate access to benefits that last through the end of 2025, including a free carry-on bag, priority boarding, priority customer service, and free selection of preferred seats. Additionally, they become eligible for premium seating upgrades.

“Frontier already offers the best value in the sky, and now consumers looking for their new airline of choice can enjoy even more benefits as they plan their 2025 travel,” stated Jeff Werkheiser from Frontier Airlines. He expressed excitement about the new benefits awaiting members who take advantage of this offer.

To participate, interested flyers should visit frontier.getstatus.com by April 30, 2025, and provide proof of their Southwest status.

This initiative aims to win over Southwest travelers amid recent changes by the Dallas-based airline, which has begun implementing assigned seating and new charges for checked baggage, something they previously did not charge for. Frontier had also previously marketed free checked bags for a limited time.
