AirAsia Introduces Auto Visa Check Feature on App and Website

AirAsia has launched a new Auto Visa Check feature to streamline online check-ins for international travelers.

AirAsia has launched an Auto Visa Check (AVC) feature on its AirAsia MOVE app and website, facilitating seamless online check-ins for international flights requiring a visa or Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA).

This innovation aims to simplify the travel process, reducing wait times and congestion at airport check-in counters. Passengers can verify their visa in real-time during online check-in, starting from 14 days before to 1 hour before their scheduled departure.

How to Use the Auto Visa Check

  1. Launch the AirAsia MOVE app or visit airasia.com
  2. Select your flight for check-in.
  3. When prompted, either scan the visa sticker on your passport or upload your e-visa.
  4. Once your visa is verified, obtain your e-boarding pass.
  5. If verification fails, you can check in manually at the counter.

Guests traveling with only hand luggage may proceed directly to the boarding gate using their e-boarding pass or reprint it at a self-service kiosk. Those with checked baggage should print their bag tags at kiosks and drop their bags at designated counters.
