
IHG Hotels and Resorts Unveils Community Impact Report for APAC
The latest report from IHG Hotels & Resorts details significant community support efforts in the Asia-Pacific region, highlighting partnerships that have improved the lives of over 334,000 individuals.
IHG Hotels & Resorts released a new report today (April 14, 2025), showcasing the impact of the community partnerships it has forged in East Asia and the Pacific.

334,000 lives improved in 2024: The report highlights the inspirational partnerships established by IHG teams across this diverse geographical region.

Decades of Support: This life-changing impact marks years of community support by IHG hotels and colleagues, aligning with their commitment to enhance the lives of 30 million people by 2030.

Colleague Involvement: In the past year, nearly 12,000 colleagues engaged in community activities, contributing over 32,000 hours in partnership with 382 community organizations across 18 countries.
Rajit Sukumaran’s Comments
Rajit Sukumaran expressed pride in the achievements made by IHG teams, stating, “I am incredibly proud of the impact our teams have made through devoting their time and energy to the communities around us. In collaboration with our incredible partners, we improved the lives of so many people last year, that is a fantastic achievement.”
Regional Contributions
IHG hotels across Australia donated over 120,000 meals during their Giving For Good month to OzHarvest. In Indonesia, 800 families were supported through a partnership with Saab Shares, while in Japan, IHG colleagues walked over 3.7 million steps to raise funds for TELL Japan. The partnership with Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation in Vietnam helped 3,500 children and youths with skills training and educational support.
Sukumaran concluded by emphasizing that 97% of colleagues feel more connected to IHG’s mission of ‘True Hospitality For Good’ through these community activities, reinforcing that charitable acts are part of IHG’s core values.
