Omio Expands Its Reach to Southeast Asia

Omio has announced a significant expansion, allowing users to access ticketing options for more than 14,000 bus routes in Southeast Asia as of April 14, 2025. This development supports the company’s goal to digitize travel across the region.

International travelers can now easily search, compare, and book tickets from local transportation providers in six countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The platform plans to include ferry and rail services soon, aiming for comprehensive options to be available before the fourth quarter of 2025, just in time for the peak travel season.

According to Veronica Diquattro, Omio’s President for Supply and B2C in Europe,

“Our offering radically simplifies the travel experience for international travellers in this vibrant key travel region.”

Diquattro highlighted the fragmented nature of transportation in Southeast Asia, stating that it can be complex for international visitors to navigate. The expansion ensures a streamlined experience for travelers by integrating additional regional mobility providers.

With this latest addition, Omio now operates in 45 countries and offers millions of bookable routes—selling 80,000 tickets daily. This move positions Omio as a leader in multi-modal travel resources globally, further bridging connections in the Asia-Pacific region, which hosts approximately 120 million inbound tourists annually. Travelers can enjoy a booking experience tailored to their local language, preferred currency, and even choose seats using Omio’s Seat Map feature, supported by 24/7 customer service.
