The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) has revealed its exclusive luxury rail charter experience for 2025, allowing passengers to hire the lavish Great Western Saloon carriage for unforgettable events. This unique venue accommodates up to 18 guests for scenic train journeys, ideal for private celebrations or business functions.
New Offerings for 2025
Starting from March 3 to November 4, 2025, the NYMR will enhance the charter experience by expanding its menu options for guests. In addition to the classic Signalman’s Buffet, visitors can now indulge in freshly prepared side dishes crafted by the railway chef. New menu items include:
- Beetroot salad
- Spicy rice salad
- Pesto pasta salad
- Red cabbage coleslaw
- Pork & stuffing layered pie
- Vegan options
Charter Experience Details
The charter service includes:
- A private journey from Grosmont to Pickering aboard the Great Western Saloon for up to 18 guests.
- A gourmet buffet lunch with local delicacies and beverages during the trip.
- Dedicated staff for catering assistance.
- Option for a fully stocked bar.
The package pricing begins at £1,595, making it a special way to celebrate important occasions amid the stunning scenery of the North York Moors.
