VisitEngland’s recent Easter Trip Tracker survey indicates that 10.6 million Brits are planning an overnight holiday within the UK this Easter weekend. This number represents a substantial predicted economic boost of £3.9 billion.
In contrast, only 6.7 million (12% of the population) are planning trips abroad this holiday. The current figures are similar to last year’s, which saw 11 million Brits committing to domestic holidays during the long weekend.
This year, 3.4 million respondents remain undecided, citing weather and affordability as key factors in their decision-making process.
