
Emirates Leads In-Flight Food Ratings Among UK Travelers: YouGov Survey
A latest study reveals Emirates Airline is highly rated for its in-flight food and beverage services by UK passengers.
Recent data from YouGov highlights how airlines measure up in terms of in-flight food and beverage services among UK passengers. The survey, conducted with 1,495 participants who have traveled with the nine leading airlines in the UK, indicates that Emirates and Qatar Airways excel in this area.
Emirates ranks first for snack and drink service, with 84% of respondents expressing that it was rated ‘very’ or ‘somewhat’ good, including 43% who deem it ‘very good’. Qatar Airways is a close second, garnering a positive response from 83% of passengers. Virgin Atlantic follows, receiving favorable ratings from 74% of those surveyed.
Among UK-based airlines, British Airways leads with 61% of passengers rating its snack and beverage offerings positively. Jet2.com and TUI Airways scored 53% and 50% respectively, whereas easyJet and Wizz Air received lower scores of 35% and 25%. Notably, Ryanair received the least favorable ratings, with only 21% of respondents rating the snacks and drinks positively while 41% labeled them as poor.
Ratings for in-flight meals reveal similar trends. Emirates again emerges at the top with 85% of respondents reviewing their meal service positively. Following closely are Qatar Airways with 82% and Virgin Atlantic with 73%. British Airways is rated positively by 63% of its passengers, surpassing Jet2.com and TUI Airways (both 49%).
However, easyJet faced mixed feedback on meal quality, with just 29% of passengers viewing them positively against 32% who found them lacking. Wizz Air’s situation is slightly worse, with only 23% rating the meals positively and 40% negatively. Ryanair once more finds itself at the bottom, with a mere 17% of travelers rating their meals well and 50% deeming them subpar.
