
Halil Asar Takes the Helm as New Food and Beverage Director at Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach
Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach welcomes Halil Asar as its new F&B director, bringing over ten years of experience in the hospitality industry.
Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach has officially appointed Halil Asar as its new Food and Beverage Director.
Asar is set to leverage over a decade of vast experience in the hospitality sector. Andreas Bergel, the General Manager of the hotel, commented on Asar’s appointment, noting:
“With his impressive career spanning Michelin-starred outlets and esteemed global hospitality enterprises, we are very enthusiastic to see him lead for further excellence on our F&B efforts, including our modern sea-view dining venue with curated beverages program, SugarSand, as well as many other upcoming F&B outlets in our neighbourhood.”
Through Asar’s leadership, the luxury vibrant resort is gearing up to establish a new benchmark in Bali’s dynamic culinary scene, ensuring exceptional dining experiences for its guests.
Having begun as a restaurant general manager and sommelier, Asar is recognized for his excellence during his tenure as the food and beverage director at Delano Hotel Dubai.
His remarkable journey in the culinary arts includes achievements like becoming the youngest maitre d’ and sommelier at the three Michelin-starred Parkheuvel in Rotterdam in 2009. In 2014, he earned the title of Sommelier of the Year from a prestigious Middle Eastern award-giving body. He has also been honored with the LQA Outstanding Employee Award and recognized among the Hotel & Catering 40 F&B All-stars in 2023 while serving as the group director of operations at KATA, a contemporary Japanese restaurant in Dubai.
Beyond his culinary talents, Asar speaks five languages: Dutch, French, Turkish, English, and German. His passion for travel and gastronomy led him to author Gastheer & Sommelier Halil Asar’s Road Trip, a book that offers readers a culinary journey through Europe.
