The InterContinental Chiang Mai The Mae Ping has announced that Adnan Yücel will be taking on the role of general manager, aiming to improve the guest experience at the hotel.

The InterContinental Chiang Mai The Mae Ping has welcomed Adnan Yücel as its new general manager. In this role, Yücel will oversee all hotel operations, focusing on delivering outstanding service and embracing the unique charm of Chiang Mai.

His leadership is set to enhance offerings at the hotel, including its new spa and Club InterContinental options.

Impressive Background

Yücel comes to this role with more than 30 years in the hospitality sector, having successfully managed luxurious resorts while optimizing revenue and sustaining high service standards across various markets. His most recent position was as General Manager at Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas, where he repositioned Six Senses Kaplankaya in Turkey into a prime destination for luxury escapes and led a major refurbishment at Six Senses Uluwatu in Bali during his time as Interim General Manager.

Originally from Turkey, Yücel’s career has also led him to prestigious properties such as the Çırağan Palace Kempinski in Istanbul, and he has held pivotal roles within the Accor group across several countries, including Saudi Arabia, Ghana, and China, where he worked with Wanda Hotels & Resorts, China’s largest five-star hotel management company.

This extensive experience in varied markets and cultures has sharpened his skills in providing world-class hospitality.
