RoyalJet, the Abu Dhabi-based premier private jet operator, has appointed Rakesh Raj as its new Vice President for Finance. Raj is a seasoned expert in finance and auditing with a strong background in the aviation sector, both domestically and internationally. He aims to enhance RoyalJet’s vision and strategic goals.
With expertise spanning various aviation models, including Low-Cost Carriers and Legacy airlines, Raj intends to focus on creating business strategies, aircraft financing, and driving innovation within the company. His vast knowledge of HR processes and employee benefits, combined with his experience in payroll management using systems like Oracle and SharePoint, makes him a valuable addition to the team.
Beginning his career as an Auditor with Ernst & Young, Rakesh has held important positions, including Senior Manager in Finance at Emirates Airlines and Chief Financial Officer at Kuwait Airways and Saudia. His qualifications include being a Qualified Chartered Accountant from India and a Certified Internal Auditor from the USA. Rakesh’s return to the UAE marks a significant homecoming for him and his family, after spending over two decades there. In his personal life, he enjoys reading fiction and participating in sports like cricket, football, and tennis.
