The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has reported that the year 2024 witnessed unparalleled demand for air travel, with passenger metrics reaching record highs.

• Total full-year traffic in 2024 increased by 10.4% relative to 2023, achieving a heightened demand surpassing pre-pandemic levels by 3.8%.
• International traffic rose by 13.6% compared to the previous year, with a corresponding 12.8% increase in capacity.

December 2024 concluded impressively with an overall demand upswing of 8.6% year-over-year, accompanied by a 5.6% increase in capacity. The load factor for December reached 84%—a monthly record.
