The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has reported that the year 2024 witnessed unparalleled demand for air travel, with passenger metrics reaching record highs.
Key Highlights:
- Total full-year traffic in 2024 increased by 10.4% relative to 2023, achieving a heightened demand surpassing pre-pandemic levels by 3.8%.
- International traffic rose by 13.6% compared to the previous year, with a corresponding 12.8% increase in capacity.
