Greater Bay Airlines Cancels Flights in February and March

Greater Bay Airlines announces cancellations affecting 128 flights due to aircraft delays and inspections.

In a press statement, Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) stated that due to delays in new aircraft delivery and the need for regular inspections of some existing aircraft, their overall flight schedule has been impacted. This has resulted in 128 flight cancellations (64 roundtrip flights) in February and March 2025, affecting approximately 5,500 passengers.

The flight services during the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday will not be disrupted.

GBA claims they have proactively contacted passengers to assist with flight protection, ticket rebooking/refunding (all associated fees will be waived), or compensation for losses incurred by the flight cancellations on an individual basis to minimize the impact on travel plans. They have also tightened their approval procedures for flight scheduling. Additional manpower has been deployed at their Customer Service Centre to expedite ticketing arrangements for passengers.

On a related note, the performance of the Seoul route has been unsatisfactory, and GBA has submitted an application to the respective authorities in Hong Kong and South Korea to suspend the service.
