Thailand's Mandatory Digital Arrival Card for Foreign Visitors Begins May 2025

New requirements for entering Thailand aim to enhance travel efficiency and security.

New Requirement for Tourists Visiting Thailand

Starting May 1, 2025, all foreign nationals traveling to Thailand must fill out the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online prior to their arrival. This requirement applies to those arriving by air, land, or sea.

The Thailand Digital Arrival Card is designed to improve immigration efficiency by reducing paperwork and expediting the entry process. It replaces the traditional disembarkation card previously required of travelers. Key features include:

  • Faster Processing: Reduces waits and backlogs at immigration checkpoints.
  • Increased Security: Shares vital travel information with immigration authorities in advance.

Tourists are encouraged to register online at least three days prior to their arrival. This modernization of Thailand’s immigration procedures aspires to align with global trends in travel technology, ensuring a smoother experience for visitors.

The tropical beauty, cultural sites, and hospitality make Thailand a premier destination for globetrotters.
