
UN Tourism and the Ministry of the Economy and Innovation of Lithuania have come together to outline a vision for tourism development in Lithuania from 2025 to 2027.
Key areas of focus include:
- Accelerating digital transformation and fostering innovation.
- Investment in the tourism sector, emphasizing governance and destination management to promote sustainable growth.
During a recent visit by UN Tourism Secretary-General Zumab Pololikashvili, discussions took place with Minister Lukas Savickas, Vice-Minister Julius Pranevičius, and other stakeholders in the tourism sector.
“Lithuania has demonstrated remarkable resilience and vision,” said Secretary-General Pololikashvili. Translation: Lithuania has shown exceptional determination and foresight.
The partnership aims to elevate Lithuania’s global tourism status, enhance cooperation in marketing, support educational initiatives through the Tourism Online Academy, and encourage tech solutions in tourism development.
