
STARLUX Airlines Expands to Seattle, Marking its Third North American Route
STARLUX Airlines has officially launched Seattle as its third North American destination, enhancing its international service offerings.
STARLUX Airlines has officially launched Seattle as its third North American destination on August 16, 2024. This follows the introduction of services to Los Angeles and San Francisco in 2023.
The airline, launched in 2018, began operations from Taipei to Macau, Penang, and Da Nang in 2020. STARLUX aims to provide a luxurious travel experience, offering four service classes across its fleet of 23 aircraft. The Airbus A350-900s have a total of 306 seats organized into four distinct cabins:
- First-Class: 4 suites
- Business-Class: 26 pods
- Premium Economy: 36 recliners
- Economy: 240 seats
STARLUX Airlines’ inaugural flight from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport to SEA
During its inaugural flight, STARLUX received a ceremonial water-cannon salute upon arrival at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).
STARLUX provides services to 23 destinations across Asia with an all-Airbus fleet, including the A321neo, A330neo, and A350 aircraft. In addition, a strategic partnership with Alaska Airlines, established in 2023, allows members of both airlines’ loyalty programs to earn points on flights with either carrier, streamlining the booking process for customers looking to connect.
With three weekly flights currently scheduled, STARLUX Airlines expects to increase its frequency to daily operations in early 2025.
