VisitEngland introduces its 13th edition of the Pink Book, offering essential guidance for accommodations and attractions in England.
VisitEngland has just released the newest edition of its Pink Book, a guide outlining the legal requirements for accommodation providers and attractions within England. Marking its 13th edition, The Pink Book: legislation for tourist accommodation and attractions delivers essential advice for operating a business in the hospitality sector, covering topics such as food hygiene, health and safety, tax, and overall management.
Director Andrew Stokes emphasized, “Small and medium-sized enterprises form the backbone of England’s tourism sector, delivering exceptional service and curating unforgettable experiences for visitors from both near and far. The Pink Book stands as a key resource that aids them in upholding globally recognized standards.”
This latest edition also introduces updates regarding environmental protection laws, staff tipping regulations, and information on the Gift Aid Small Donations scheme. Furthermore, it presents new guidance on allergen labeling and offers insights for those employing individuals from outside the UK, including the European Union.
The Pink Book is recognized as the only legal guide tailored for all accommodation providers and attractions in England and is presently supported by the Professional Association of Self-Caterers (PASC UK).
Tourism remains one of the largest contributors to England’s economy, with over 200,000 businesses, 2.6 million jobs, and approximately £76 billion generated through domestic visitor spending.
