easyJet Launches New Direct Service from Birmingham to City of Derry Airport

easyJet introduces a direct flight connecting Birmingham with City of Derry, enhancing travel options.

easyJet has recently announced a new direct flight service from Birmingham to City of Derry Airport, aiming to facilitate travel for both leisure and business purposes.

Service Details

The new route is set to operate twice a week on Mondays and Fridays starting from September 1, 2025.

This direct connection enhances accessibility to City of Derry’s notable attractions, including Northern Ireland’s only historic Walled City and a plethora of award-winning museums and vibrant food venues, especially appealing for local and visiting tourists.

Ali Gayward, the UK Country Manager for easyJet, remarked:

“Our new domestic route from Birmingham to City of Derry further supports the demand we are seeing from both leisure and business customers in the Midlands.”

Adding to this, Tom Screen, Aviation Director at Birmingham Airport, stated:

“We welcome the announcement of easyJet’s new direct service to City of Derry from September 2025, which is in direct response to our customer’s demands. The return of this route enriches our airport’s domestic connectivity for business opportunities.”
