Meliá Hotels International Reveals Plans for Bahia Estepona, a New Luxurious Icon on the Costa del Sol

Meliá Hotels International continues to expand with the announcement of a new luxury hotel in Estepona, set to open in 2026.

Meliá Hotels International is committed to expanding its luxury brand presence in Spanish destinations. They announced the signing of a hotel located on the Malaga coast in Estepona, which will operate under The Meliá Collection brand, marking their first project on the Costa del Sol within this exclusive hotel selection.

The Bahia Estepona, a member of Meliá Collection, is set to join the luxury offerings of the hotel chain in mid-2026, following a renovation that will elevate its standards and facilities, turning it into an icon of the vacation offerings of the brand. It will feature 134 well-appointed rooms and suites designed for guests to enjoy a superior seaside experience.

With views of El Padrón beach, the outdoor areas of the Bahia Estepona will play a significant role in customer experience, boasting an impressive pool and ideal landscaped areas for relaxation. Guests will also focus on wellness with a comprehensive fitness center and a spa offering top treatments. Furthermore, the hotel will provide an extensive gastronomic offering consisting of three restaurants, an outdoor bar by the pool, and a lobby bar.

Nestled in one of the most charming locations, where typical white-walled houses adorned with flower-filled pots can be explored, the Bahia Estepona is the perfect place to soak up the Andalusian essence. As is characteristic of The Meliá Collection brand, the hotel will feature a curated cultural program to enhance the luxury experience for guests and connect them with the destination. Additionally, the hotel is just a 20-minute drive from Puerto Banús, half an hour from the historic center of Marbella, and a little over an hour from towns like Mijas or the capital city of Malaga.
