Turkish Airlines Launches Flights to Ohrid, North Macedonia

Turkish Airlines has initiated flights to Ohrid, one of North Macedonia’s essential tourist cities, expanding its global network to 353 destinations. This marks the airline’s second destination in North Macedonia, following the capital, Skopje.

Türkiye’s national carrier offers four weekly flights from Istanbul Airport to Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport during the summer months. This new route enhances Turkish Airlines’ regional reach, providing travelers with more options across Europe.

Lake Ohrid, notable for its biodiversity, was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1979, emphasizing its cultural significance. In 1980, Ohrid was fully recognized for its historical and natural importance.

CEO Bilal Ekşi commented on the new route, stating:

“At Turkish Airlines, we believe that our newly launched flights to/from Ohrid, one of Europe’s oldest settlements, will create new opportunities for both tourism and business. Additionally, it will further enhance cultural exchange with Ohrid, a city that reflects the essence of the Balkans and carries traces of the Ottoman heritage.”

Special promotional fares are available for flights booked between April 1-15, 2025, for travel from April 15 to August 28, 2025. One-way fares from Istanbul to Ohrid start at £107.
