
The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), in partnership with the Exhibition Group and Plaza Premium Group, successfully hosted the PATA Power of Networking and Luncheon 2025 on February 20th at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
This gathering welcomed over 20 prominent leaders in travel and tourism from the Hong Kong SAR and the Greater Bay Area (GBA), including representatives from various tourism boards and hospitality organizations. A key feature of the event was a presentation by Angelina Cheung, JP, the Commissioner for Tourism, who laid out the “Development Blueprint for Hong Kong’s Tourism Industry 2.0.” This blueprint aims to position Hong Kong as a leading global tourism destination by harmonizing tourism with culture, sports, and ecology.
Soon-Hwa Wong, PATA Ambassador for Greater China, emphasized the significance of this event in fostering connections among tourism sector leaders and reaffirmed PATA’s commitment to support engagement within the industry.
Following the luncheon, participants attended the opening ceremony of the Hong Kong Holiday & Travel Expo 2025, which broke records with over 250,000 visitors this year, marking a 27% increase compared to the previous year.
