AirAsia Malaysia Expands Direct Flights to Australia

AirAsia Malaysia has launched a new pathway connecting Kuala Lumpur directly to Darwin, Australia, further enhancing its promise of international connectivity. Starting June 27, travelers can enjoy four weekly flights, offering affordable options to delve into the lively capital of Australia’s Northern Territory.

Fareh Mazputra, the Chief Executive of AirAsia Malaysia, expressed excitement about this expansion:

“We are thrilled to launch our very first flight to Darwin, creating greater opportunities for both leisure and business travelers to explore one of Australia’s most vibrant and unique destinations.”

In light of the growing interest in adventure travel, Mazputra sees Darwin as a hidden gem, fostering diverse experiences beyond typical tourist attractions.

“With our seamless Fly-Thru services via Kuala Lumpur, Darwin is now more accessible than ever for travelers from key markets within our network, including Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, China, Cambodia, South Korea, and beyond.”

Robyn Cahill, Australian minister for trade and business, remarked on this significant move:
