WTTC Announces EMBRATUR's Inclusion as New Destination Partner

The World Travel & Tourism Council integrates the Brazilian Tourist Board to enhance global tourism efforts.

The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has welcomed the Brazilian Tourist Board (EMBRATUR) into its network of Destination Partners, marking a significant milestone in promoting global tourism growth.

As a member, EMBRATUR will engage in high-level forums alongside executives from around 200 influential companies and destinations. These gatherings align with WTTC’s goals aimed at unlocking potential within the Travel & Tourism sector, fostering inclusive, sustainable, and resilient growth.

Under the banner ‘Visit Brasil’, EMBRATUR joins a roster of over 30 esteemed partners, which includes names like Atout France, Brand USA, and others.

Julia Simpson, WTTC’s President & CEO, remarked: “It is an honour to announce EMBRATUR as our new Destination Partner. Brazil stands as a global icon in the Travel & Tourism sector, and through this partnership, we will work together to strengthen the industry’s resilience and promote opportunities for growth that benefits all.”

WTTC’s recent report highlighted that Brazil’s tourism sector accounts for 7.7% of the national GDP, equating to an impressive US$165.4 billion.

Marcelo Freixo, President of EMBRATUR, commented: “It is an honour for EMBRATUR to join WTTC’s distinguished group of Destination Partners. This partnership provides a platform to strengthen Brazil’s standing in global tourism discussions, powered by our commitment to promoting sustainable development and celebrating human diversity.”
