Thailand's Tourism Authority Celebrates 50 Years at ITB Berlin

The Tourism Authority of Thailand marks the 50th anniversary of its participation in ITB Berlin, highlighting its efforts to attract more visitors and promote sustainable tourism.

Thailand’s Participation at ITB Berlin 2025

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is celebrating its 50th year of participating at ITB Berlin, showcasing its commitment to tourism growth through the Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025 initiative.

At the event from March 4 to 6, Her Royal Highness Princess Ubolratana reaffirmed her royal support for Thai tourism and culture. Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra emphasized Thailand’s goal to establish itself as a sustainable and high-value global destination.

TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool remarked, “Thailand’s expansive presence at ITB Berlin, enhanced by digital advancements and a clear focus on sustainability, underscores our dedication to high-value, sustainable tourism. This year’s initiative highlights Thailand’s cultural wealth and innovative approach to reinforce our status as a premier travel destination.”

Participation in ITB Berlin 2025 is crucial for achieving Thailand’s tourism target of 39 million visitors and generating 3.5 trillion Baht in revenue. Projections indicate a rise in European arrivals from 7.05 million in 2024 to 10.62 million in 2025, with Germany expected to contribute significantly.

The Thailand Pavilion has tripled its size to 1,820 square metres, demonstrating the blend of Thai identity and global appeal, focusing on cultural experiences, sustainability, and the promotion of soft power through various activities at the pavilion.
