The Department of Tourism (DOT) of the Government of Rajasthan made a remarkable impact at ITB Berlin 2025. The state captured the attention of global visitors with its royal appeal and was awarded the prestigious PATWA (Pacific Area Travel Writers Association) Award. H.E. Diya Kumari, the Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan, was honored with the Woman Tourism Minister of the Year award. Additionally, Rajasthan achieved second place in the ‘Destination of the Year – Royal Experiences’ category, establishing itself as a prime global destination.

The PATWA award ceremony was attended by tourism ministers from ten nations, tourism officials, hospitality and airline leaders, destination representatives, industry veterans, and international media.

On the inaugural day of ITB Berlin, the Rajasthan Tourism booth was ceremoniously opened by H.E. Ajit Gupte, the Honorable Ambassador of India to Germany. Representatives from the Palace on Wheels and eight other co-exhibitors from Rajasthan’s travel trade participated in ITB, further amplifying Rajasthan’s global tourism presence.

This year, the delegation distributed tourism literature in German, specially prepared for ITB Berlin, to enhance engagement with the German market. The vibrant booth showcased Rajasthan’s rich culture and heritage, featuring iconic forts, palaces, luxury offerings such as Palace on Wheels, and other diverse experiences. Decorative items like puppets, hanging birds, miniature elephants, and camels added an ethnic touch to the booth.

On the second day, Rajasthan hosted a roadshow at its booth, bringing together tour operators, travel agents, media representatives, and travel bloggers. Presentations made by tourism officials and FHTR (Federation of Hospitality and Tourism Representatives) covered various topics, including safety measures for solo and female travelers. The presentations also included a captivating audio-visual segment on the state’s tourism products.

During the three days of ITB Berlin, Rajasthan’s tourism representatives held over 50 strategic meetings with tour operators, travel agents, media, and other tourism stakeholders, significantly enhancing partnerships and promoting Rajasthan as a must-visit destination.
