Julia Hillenbrand has been appointed as the new Vice President Sales EMEA for Lufthansa Group Airlines. She will oversee all commercial and sales activities for the group across European countries, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). In her role, Hillenbrand will also manage global sales programs and sales communications worldwide.

Hillenbrand succeeds Lorenza Maggio, who has moved to a position on the Board of Directors of ITA Airways. Frank Naeve, Senior Vice President Sales & Distribution, stated: “Julia Hillenbrand is an extremely experienced and creative airline manager with a strong spirit for innovation and international business relations. Her extensive customer knowledge will help strengthen the Lufthansa Group.”

Having an accomplished international career within Lufthansa since 2022, Hillenbrand previously managed brand and customer experience for SWISS and led sales for Spain & Portugal and Western Europe. With a diverse background, including roles in Asia Pacific and marketing in London, she holds a degree in International Business and speaks six languages.
