Wizz Air has announced a new payments partnership with Revolut, a fintech company with over 50 million customers worldwide, which will enable secure, one-click checkouts for its over 60 million customers. Initially available in-app, this feature will also roll out on the website in May.

With Revolut Pay, users can book flights without need to re-enter payment details. Customers simply select Revolut Pay at checkout in the app, approving payments securely via the Revolut app with passcode or biometric identification.

As part of the agreement, new Revolut users can earn up to £25 after signing up and spending their first £5. Additionally, they can accumulate RevPoints, Revolut’s loyalty program, which can be redeemed on flights. Until April 4, 2025, customers who book using Revolut Pay can earn 10x more RevPoints on flights.

This initiative follows previous efforts by Wizz Air to expand its payment options, now accepting Revolut cards on board.

Founded in 2003, Wizz Air is a significant player in the European airline sector, currently servicing nearly 800 routes.

Ian Malin, Wizz Air’s CFO, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating: “We’re delighted to have partnered with Revolut to bring our customers more flexibility and a better experience. This collaboration provides 62 million Wizz Air passengers access to Revolut’s innovative fintech solutions, ultimately leading to cheaper fares.”

Alex Codina, General Manager of Acquiring at Revolut, added, “We are excited to have Wizz Air on board and look forward to making the customer journey as seamless as possible.”
