
Loganair Announces New Southampton Base and Route Expansion for 2025
Regional airline Loganair plans to open a new base at Southampton Airport in October 2025, creating local jobs and new flight routes.
Loganair has unveiled plans to introduce its tenth base at Southampton Airport, leading to the creation of new jobs, particularly for pilots, cabin crew, and engineers from the local community. The base aims to enhance connectivity to and from this vital region, increasing the airline’s overall passenger capacity by over 140,000 annually. The operation will commence with two ATR-72 600 aircraft by October 2025.
In addition, Loganair will introduce two new routes, with the first flights set for October 26 to connect Southampton with Manchester, and Manchester with Exeter. The popular route from Southampton to Edinburgh will also see its capacity raised from 49 to 72 passengers.
